Now, you may think I’m crazy. Who ever has leftover steak? Well, once in a while we do, and I never ever let steak go to waste!
This tasty sandwich is wonderful for lunch, it’s very filly and so quick to make.
You will need:
Leftover Steak
1/2 White Onion
1/2 Bell Pepper (your choice of color)
1 Garlic Glove
1 Tbsp Olive Oil
2 Buns
Toppings (Optional):
Tomato
Lettuce
Mustard
Mayonnaise
Cheddar Cheese
Slice up the leftover steak into thin strips. Julienne the bell pepper and onion, and mince the garlic. Heat the olive oil in a fry pan and add the steak, bell pepper, onion and garlic. Cook until the onion and peppers are soft (but not mushy!) and the steak is heated through.
Toast the buns in the oven just lightly. Fill with the steak/pepper/onion mixture and top with cheese, lettuce and tomato. Put mustard and mayonnaise on the top of the bun (and of course, add any other toppings you like!).
