Hamburger Ingredients:
- 1 Pound Ground Beef
- 1 Pound Ground Pork
- 1/4 Cup of Seasoned Bread Crumbs
- 1 Egg
- 3 Tsp Chopped Parsley
1 Tsp of the following: - Hot Mustard
- Warchester Sauce
- Salt
- Fresh Ground Black Pepper
- Ground Mustard
- Onion Powder
- Garlic Powder
- Celery Seeds
Put all of the hamburger ingredients into a bowl and mix well with a wooden spoon or your hands (the job gets done faster, and better if you choose the messy way and use your hands). Let everything sit for 15-20 minutes while you slice up your toppings. My favorite toppings are:
- Bacon (fried up with onion)
- Lettuce (Radicchio or Romaine)
- Pickles
- Cheese
- Roasted Red Peppers
- Tomato
- Ketchup
- Mustard
You can choose to grill or fry these hamburgers. If you choose to fry, I recommend doing so in the pan you cooked the bacon and onions in for toppings. If you grill them on the barbecue, make sure you’ve really cleaned the grill, and resist the urge to squish them with the flipper!
For grilling, they will take 6-8 minutes on one side, and 4-5 on the other (depending on how hot your grill is). When frying they will take more like 15-20 minutes in total (flipping after 10 minutes). If you want to make these into cheeseburgers just add your cheese slices 2 minutes before the hamburgers are done and pop a lid on the pan (or close the barbecue). Toast up some buns and dress these however you like. Recipe makes 6 large burgers or 8 medium burgers.
